If you select a mix of shapes and elements, such as faces or edges of other shapes, only the shapes are mirrored and other elements are ignored.

Connect Mirror—Connects the selected face or edge to its mirrored face or edge. Select a face or edge and click
Connect Mirror.
Join Mirror—Joins the selected face or edge to its mirrored face or edge. Select a face or edge and click > .
Delete Mirror—Deletes the mirrored control mesh.
Change Plane—Projects the edges or vertices lying on the previous mirror plane onto the new plane. Click > and select a new mirror plane. When you make topological changes to a dependent or an independent mirrored control mesh, the following behavior is exhibited: • For an independent mirrored mesh, all newly created or altered elements will become independent. • For a dependent mirrored mesh, the operation fails if the dependent geometry is altered as a result of the topological change. |
Dependent to activate or deactivate the dependent mode. This mode is active by default. The Dependent command is available only when you create a mirrored geometry. When you deactivate the dependent mode, the control mesh for the mirrored geometry is displayed. You can modify this mesh if required. |
