About Maintaining a Multibody Structure in STEP Import
When importing Creo files to the STEP format, you can set the import option to Maintain multibody structure of assembly components. Using this option, the STEP assembly is imported as an assembly. The multibody part components of the original assembly are imported as parts with multiple bodies. All relative positions of the bodies as defined by their component transformations are maintained.
