To Select Objects
You can select objects with more precision using object-type filters. Set filters using Filter Options on the Selection tab of Scan Tools and click 
By Filter to select objects according to the filter you have set.

Filter Options and set the selection filter to one or more of the following objects in the SelOpts dialog box before you use By Filter:

• Surfaces—Selects only surfaces.
• Quilts—Selects only quilts.
• Sample Data—Selects only raw data.
• Sel Many—Selects many objects.
After you select objects on the model, you can use Deselect All on the Selection tab to clear the selection of objects on the model.
