Example: Slicing Imported Objects by Plane to Achieve Symmetry
After you import non-symmetrical objects, you can convert them into symmetrical shapes using the Mesh Cut and Mirror command. Perform the following steps to convert the imported object to symmetrically mirrored shape.
1. Import an object.
2. Create a plane that intersects the shape.
3. Click Mesh Cut and select the plane that you created to slice the shape.
4. Select the mesh elements and click Mirror to mirror the sliced shape. The mirrored symmetry is achieved.
