Creating a Facet Feature
When you create a Facet feature, you enter different phases of facet modeling, and a different tab opens, depending on the file type you import.
Using .pts, .vtx, .acs, .ibl, .igs, and .vda files
1. Click Model > Get Data > Import. The Open dialog box opens.
2. Select a .pts, .vtx, .acs, .ibl, .igs, or .vda file, and click Import. The File dialog box opens.
3. Select Facet as the Import type, and click OK. The Points tab opens.
Using .stl, .wrl, and .acs files
1. Click Model > Get Data > Import. The Open dialog box opens.
2. Select an .stl, .wrl, or .acs file, and click Import. The File dialog box opens.
3. Select Facet as the Import type, and click OK. The Import tab opens.
4. Click . The Facet tab opens.
