To Customize the Sheetmetal Design Environment
1. Click File > Options > Options. The Creo Parametric Options dialog box opens.
2. Click Sheetmetal. The Sheetmetal area opens.
3. To set directory paths for sheetmetal-specific libraries, type a path name in the relevant box, or click Browse to browse to a library folder.
4. To use sheetmetal parameters or the Sheetmetal Preferences dialog box to set the default values of tool settings and to update features automatically when parameter values are changed, click the Associate tool settings check box.
Click the Associate bend settings check box to set the default value of the bend angle and bend dimension location settings and update features automatically when parameter values change
5. To show or hide corner relief notes for subsequent sessions, click or clear the Show corner relief notes check box.
6. To define if bends are automatically added to geometry with sharp edges when creating walls, click or clear the Add bends on sharp edges check box.
7. To show or hide bend notes for subsequent sessions, click or clear the Show bend notes check box.
8. To customize the bend note symbols, type a different value in the box.

To reapply default bend note symbol settings, type default in the box.
9. To change bend note element order, type the elements in any order. You can also include any string. The string will show in the note as text.
10. To change settings for flat patterns:
To set the commands that display in the Flat Pattern list in the Sheetmetal tab Bends group, select a manufacturing method from the Method to prepare for manufacturing list. The default is instance & representation, you can choose instance or representation.
The name string for an instance supports any combination of the name elements, as well as custom text added as a prefix, a suffix, and in any place in the name string.
Set the way index numbers are appended to flat pattern instances, either Remove Gaps or Incremental.

11. Click OK to apply the new settings.
