To Offset a Chain Along a Surface
1. Perform one of the following actions:
◦ Select a chain of curves or edges, and click > 
Offset.

Chain, and then select a chain of curves or edges.

2. Under Offset Method, select 
Along Surface to offset the chain in the direction along the reference surface.

If you want to select a different surface, right-click the 
reference surface collector, click Remove, and select a reference quilt or surface.

to flip the direction of the offset, if needed.

(normal to curve) or 
(parallel to plane). If you select , you must select a reference plane.
