To Save a Table
Saving the Table as Table File
1. Select the table or a cell of a table to save.
2. On the Table tab, click Save Table.
Alternatively, you can right-click on a table in the graphics window, Model Tree, or Detail tree, and choose Save Table from the shortcut menu.
The Save Table dialog box opens.
3. Browse to the location where you want to save the table.
4. In File Name, type a name for the table. In the Type field, the default file type is selected as .tbl.
5. Click Save The file is saved in your current working directory with a .tbl extension. The filename is assigned a unique version number to prevent overwriting tables with the same name.
Saving a Table to Other File Types
You can save a table in other file formats such as text file, CSV file and an MS Excel file.
1. Select the table or a cell of a table to save
2. On the Table tab, click Save Table.
Alternatively, you can right-click on a table in the graphics window, Model Tree, or Detail tree, and choose Save Table from the shortcut menu.
The Save Table dialog box opens.
3. Browse to the location where you want to save the table.
4. In File Name, type a name for the file.
5. From the Type list, select one of the following:
Text—Saves the table in .txt format.
CSV—Saves the table as a .csv file. A CSV file is a Comma Separated Value file. You can open a CSV file in a spreadsheet application or a text.
MS Excel—Saves the table in .xlsx format.
6. Click Save. The file is saved in the specified location.
