To Use the Notification Center
1. In an open model with notifications, use one of the following options to open the Notification Center.
◦ To display notifications for the assembly, click
or
under the graphics window. The
Notifications message opens. Click
Open Notification Center.
◦ To display notifications for a component, select the component in the Model Tree, right-click, and select Notification Center. When you select the top-level assembly, notifications for all components in the assembly display.
The Notification Center dialog box opens.
2. Set the display of notifications from the Group by list:
◦ Type—Groups notifications by the type of notification.
◦ Object—Groups the objects with notifications.
3. To open the Help Center, click
.
5. To expand all notifications, click the arrows in the notifications list, or click
.
6. To collapse all notifications, click the arrows in the notifications list or click
.
7. To open information in the browser, select an item in the list and click
.
8. To open the
Reference Viewer dialog box, select the item in the list and click
.
9. To find an item in the Model Tree, select it and click
.
10. To open the
Regeneration Manager, click
.
11. When you select an item in the notifications list, you can use commands in the right-click shortcut menu or toolbar.
Regeneration Failed Notifications
When a component or feature fails regeneration, use the following commands to edit the definition or references:
• To edit the definition of a failed feature or component, click
. The feature tab opens. Redefine the feature or component placement.
• To edit references of a failed feature, click
. The
Edit References dialog box opens.
• To fix the location of a component, click
.
• To fix feature diagnostics notifications click
. The
Troubleshooter dialog box opens. The cause of the error and recommended actions appear in the bottom pane of the dialog box.
Missing Model Notifications
To locate a missing model, click
. The
File Open dialog box opens. Browse for the missing component and click
Open.
Outdated Feature or Placement Notifications
To resolve notifications for outdated features or placement, use one of the following commands:
• To update the feature or placement to conform to the new references, click
.
• To edit the definition of the feature or placement, click
. The feature tab opens. Redefine the feature placement.
• To ignore the difference in the feature after changes to the reference model, click
.
To resolve notifications for components with outdated PDM status, use the following command:
• To update the PDM status of a component, click
Update.
Layout and Data Sharing Notifications
To resolve notifications for Layout and data sharing features use the following commands:
• To update an item for the changes click
.
• To edit the definition of an item click
.
• To edit references click
.
• To remove a notification click,
.
Notifications for Models Modified in Creo Direct
To resolve notifications for models modified in Creo Direct use the following commands:
• To propagate parametric behavior to all children of a model with placement modified in
Creo Direct, click
.
• To restore parametric behavior to a model affected by
Creo Direct modifications, click
.
| You must restore parametric behavior before you can update or modify models in Creo Parametric. |
Piping Model Notifications
To resolve notifications for piping models use the following commands:
• To resolve outdated line stock parameters, click
.
Circular References Notifications
To view the circular references file for the assembly, select the assembly in the
Notification Center and click
. The
INFORMATION WINDOW opens with the assembly circular references file.
To resolve notifications for circular references you must remove circular references in the assembly. Perform the following steps:
1. Select the assembly in the
Notification Center and click
. The
Reference Viewer dialog box opens.
2. Click the Paths tab. A list of Circular Paths appears in the bottom left pane.
3. Select a Circular Path to display the circular references in this path.
4. Right-click a feature with a circular reference and select Edit References. The Edit References dialog box opens.
5. Select a reference from the Original references list and choose a new reference in the assembly. The New reference box displays the selected reference.
6. Click Reset.
7. Continue editing references until all references are satisfied.
8. Click Preview to see a preview of the feature with new references.
9. Click OK.
Mass Properties Notifications
To resolve notifications for outdated mass properties, select the assembly or part and click
. Perform the following steps in the
Model Properties dialog box.
1. In the Mass Properties line click change. The Mass Properties dialog box opens.
2. Click Calculate. Mass properties for the part or assembly are recalculated.
3. Click OK.
Outdated Mathcad Parameter Notifications
To resolve notifications for outdated parameters associated with a PTC Mathcad Prime worksheet, open the worksheet and update the parameters.
Mechanism Failures
To resolve failures of a mechanism when a model is disconnected, the mechanism analysis fails to connect, or the mechanism fails during dragging, click

Server Notifications
To resolve notifications for models from the server by updating the model, click
