To View a Model Normal to One or Two Directional References
1. Select a planar entity to use as a directional reference.
*
You can also click View Normal first, but then you can only select one directional reference.
The directional reference can be a planar surface, datum plane, axis, straight curve or edge, straight cross section, or coordinate system.
2. Optionally, to select a second directional reference, hold down the CTRL key while you select a second planar entity.
3. On the Graphics toolbar, click Named Views > View Normal, or click View > Named Views > View Normal. The model reorients normal to the directional reference. If you selected two references, the second reference is positioned horizontally.
