To Change the Appearance of Edges and Lines
1. Click File > Options. The Creo Parametric Options dialog box opens. Click Entity Display on the left pane.
2. Under Geometry display settings do the following:
Edge display quality—Select the quality of display you want as Medium, Low, High, or Very High. This can also be set using the configuration file option edge_display_quality.
Tangent edges display style—Select the style for edges where two surfaces are tangent as Solid, No Display, Phantom, Centerline, or Dimmed. This can also be set using the configuration file option tangent_edge_display.
Anti-Aliasing—Select the check box to improve the appearance of all 3D objects. You can also set the configuration option enable_fsaa for antialiasing. The default is 8. Antialiasing slows performance.
Lines Anti-Aliasing— Select the check box to improve the appearance of edges, curves, and datums. You can also set the configuration option smooth_lines for lines antialiasing. The default is no. Lines antialiasing slows performance but with less impact than full antialiasing.
Text Anti-Aliasing— Select the check box to improve the appearance of text in graphics area. You can also set the configuration option text_antialiasing for text antialiasing. The default is no. Text antialiasing has small impact on performance.
Show colors assigned to model surface—Select the check box to display colors assigned to surfaces on the model.
3. Switch to Model Display tab in Creo Parametric Options dialog box.
4. Under Model display settings when reorienting the model, select the Show silhouette edges to display silhouette edges.
*
You can select only the following types of silhouette edges: Silhouettes of cylinders and cones, and silhouettes of torii with axes that are parallel or perpendicular to the screen.
5. Under Geometry display settings do the following:
Select the Accurate removal of hidden lines in the part mode check box to control the accuracy in the display of hidden lines for intersected bodies in Part mode. By default, this setting is selected. This can also be set using the configuration file option hlr_adv_interference_check_prt. It also affects the part view display in Drawing mode.
Select the Accurate removal of hidden lines in the assembly mode check box to control the accuracy in the display of hidden lines for the intersected bodies and components in the assembly mode. By default, this setting is not selected. This can also be set using the configuration file option hlr_adv_interference_check_asm. It also affects the assembly view display in Drawing mode.
6. Under Cable Display, select from the following:
Thick—To display clipping when the Visibilities dialog box is closed.
Centerline—To display the cable centerline with location points shown in green.
*
You can also use the Cable thick style and Cable centerline style toolbar buttons to change the cable display. Use Utilities > Customize Screen to place buttons on the toolbar.
7. Under Cable HLR, select Full, None, or Partial to set the level at which hidden lines are removed in a cabling assembly. This can also be set using the configuration file option full_hlr_for_cables.
