About Environment Settings
You can set various Creo Parametric environment options using the Environment tab in the Creo Parametric Options dialog box. (File > Options). When you make a change using the Environment tab, it takes effect only for the current session. When you start Creo Parametric, the environment settings are defined by your configuration file, if any; otherwise, by the system configuration defaults.
You can set the following default actions.

Sound bell for prompts and messages
Ring bell (beep) after each prompt or system message.
Save display with model
Save objects with their most recent screen display. This makes object retrieval in new sessions faster, because its graphics do not need to be recalculated.
Add to the model datums that are created during information operations
Control the display of datum planes, datum points, datum axes, and coordinate systems that are created dynamically while displaying information for the various operations. If you click this check box, the datums are added and saved with the model. If you clear this check box, the datums are erased when you close the Information window.
Suppressed dialog boxes
Resumes the display of dialog boxes that you suppressed earlier.
Define, run, and manage mapkeys
Click Mapkeys Settings to open the Mapkeys dialog box that allows you to perform the following operations.
Define new mapkeys
View, modify, and delete existing mapkeys
Execute a mapkey chosen from the list
Save the mapkeys to a configuration file
Create instance accelerator files upon instance storage
Determines how instances are saved with the Family Tables of solid parts. Using Create files set the system behavior in saving instances by selecting an option from the list.

The instance verification status is not set to Failed.
The instance verification status is set to Unverified. In this case, when creating the accelerator file, Creo Parametric displays a message stating that the accelerator file was created for the nonverified instance.
none—Does not save instance accelerator files.
explicit—Saves instance accelerator files only when you explicitly save instances.
always—Always saves instance accelerator files, regardless of whether you are saving an instance explicitly or through a higher-level object.
Distributed Computing
Click Distributed Computing to open the Distributed Computing Host Selection dialog box that allows you to specify the host machines you want to use for distributed computing, by selecting them from a master list configured by your system administrator.
