You can disable the orientation center by clearing the Show the orientation center check box in the Model Display tab that opens when you click File > Options > Model Display. To disable the orientation center during spin, pan, or zoom operations, set the spin_with_orientation_center configuration option to no (default is yes).

You cannot disable the orientation center when you are in the Orient mode.
