1. Annotate > Datum Feature Symbol. A dynamic preview of datum feature symbol appears.

2. Select an edge, a geometry, an axis, a datum, a curve, a vertex, or a point on a surface to specify the attachment point for the datum feature symbol. The datum feature symbol appears attached to the select entity.

3. Drag the pointer to specify the length of the datum feature symbol leader.

4. Middle-click to place the datum feature symbol. The Datum Feature ribbon is available.

5. Use the options on the ribbon to define the properties of the datum feature symbol.

6. Click in the graphics area to finish creating datum feature symbol.
