Preparing Geometry for Ply Creation
After you set up the Composite Design environment, you prepare the geometry for ply creation.
You can prepare geometry in the part and use it in the Composite Design environment. You can also prepare geometry inside the Composite Design environment using the available tools. Inside the Composite Design environment, you can use datum entities, curves, and other tools to prepare geometry.
When you use the offset command in the Composite Design environment, the chain and the quilt boundary chain options are available.
The geometry you create in a composite feature remains internal to the composite feature. However, you can use the solidify plies operation to propagate the geometries, such as a body or a quilt, to the part.
