To Convert a Component to Flexible Using Predefined Flexibility

1. Open an assembly.

2. Select the component, right-click it in the Model Tree or graphics window, and choose Flexible Component >

Make Flexible from the shortcut menu. The Component Placement tab opens with the Varied Items dialog box open.

3. Change, delete, or create new varied items and click OK.

You do not need varied items for a component to be flexible.
