Creo Advanced Framework Configuration Options
You can customize the way you use Creo Advanced Framework by setting configuration options. The list is in alphabetical order, and each option contains the following information:
• The name of the configuration option.
• Default and available variables or values. All default values are marked with an asterisk (*).
• A brief description.
List of General options:
ADD_PROJECT_SHORTCUT_TO_CONNECTOR_EQUIPMENT
yes, no*
yes—Adds the project shortcut to non-copied connector or equipment elements.
no—The project shortcut is not added to non-copied connector or equipment elements.
CHANGE_REPRESENTATION_OF_CONNECTOR_EQUIPMENT

yes—Changes the simplified representation of connector and equipment elements.
no—Does not change the simplified representation of connector and equipment elements.
COLOR_PROFILE_CONNECTOR_EQUIPMENT_PARTS
yes, no*
yes—Adds color to profiles, connector elements, and equipment elements.
no—Does not add color to profiles, connector elements, and equipment elements.
CONNECTORS_COLOR
Sets the color of connector elements. Your system color is the default.
COPY_DRAWINGS
yes*, no
yes—Creo Advanced Framework copies drawings when a model or assembly is copied.
no—Creo Advanced Framework does not copy drawings when a model or assembly is copied.
DEFAULT_MATERIAL_NAME
Sets the name of the default material file for parts assembled by Creo Advanced Framework.
DRAWING_FORMAT_PATH
Sets the path to the drawing formats.
Default is pro_format_dir.
ELEM_NUMBER_DIGITS
Sets the number of digits in an automatic part name. Leading zeros are added. When set to 0, the leading zeroes are not added.
Default is 0.
EQUIPMENT_COLOR
Sets the color of equipment elements. Your system color is the default.
ITEM_NR_DESIGNATE
yes, no*
yes—Designates the parameter ITEM_NR_PARAM_NAME to Windchill.
no—Does not designate the ITEM_NR_PARAM_NAME parameter to Windchill.
ITEM_NR_PARAM_NAME
Sets the parameter name that is used for the item numbers.
Default is EFX_ITEM_NR
ITEM_NR_STATUS_UNKNOWN_COMPONENTS
0, 1, 2*
0—Unknown components are excluded from the item number generation.
1—Unknown components are treated like project parts.
2—Unknown components are treated like standard parts.
ITEM_NR_TEXT_HEIGHT
Text height of item number in Creo Advanced Framework item number notes.
Default is 0.
LENGTH_STR_NUM_DIGITS
Sets the number of digits after the period in BUW_LENGTH_STR.
Default is 1.
MAT_FILE_DIRECTORY
Sets the path to Creo Parametric material files for parts assembled by Creo Advanced Framework.
Default is pro_material_dir.
PROFILES_COLOR
Sets the color of profile parts. You system color is the default.
REGEN_ASM_AFTER_AUTO_JOINT_CREATION

yes—Forces a regeneration after a connector or equipment element joint is created.
no—Does not force a regeneration after a connector or equipment element joint is created.
SAVE_FILES_AFTER_ASSEMBLY
yes, no*
yes—Creo Advanced Framework part, assembly, and drawing files are stored on the disk after assembling a part or assembly.
no—Creo Advanced Framework part, assembly, and drawing files are only in session after assembling part or assembly.
SDNF_IMPORT_NUM_LINES
SDNF import file has 6 lines per profile.
SDNF import file has 10 lines per profile.*
SEARCH_ELEMENT_NUMBER_IN_ALL_PROJECT_ASSEMBLIES

yes—Searches in all project assemblies for the next available element counter.
no— Searches only in the currently active assembly.
SHOW_PROFILE_SIZE_NOTES

yes—The layer with notes on the profile size appears after assembling a profile.
no—The layer with notes on the profile size is not shown after assembling a profile.
USE_PROFILE_NUMBER_FOR_ALL_COMPONENT_NAMES

yes—Uses a profile counter for generating names of all copied components. The components can be profiles, project subassemblies, connectors, or equipment elements.
no—Uses different counters.

CONNECTOR_EQUIPMENT_WITH_GUI_PREVIEW

yes—Automatically creates a graphical user interface for connector and equipment elements without a user interface definition.
no—Does not automatically create a graphical user interface for connector and equipment elements.
COPY_ASM_BACKUP_PATH
Sets the path to an empty folder which the system can use as a temporary backup directory for copying subassemblies.
CREATE_CURVED_BEAMS_WITH_USE_EDGE
yes, no*
yes—Creates curved beams with the Sketcher Use Edge command.
no—Does not create curved beams with the Sketcher Use Edge command.
CREATE_WELD_GROUP_BULK_ITEM

yes—Creates a bulk item for weld groups.
no—Does not create a bulk item for weld groups.
CUSTOMIZATION_PATH
Enters a path to customization. This folder contains customized parts and text folder. The default is : Common Files\afx\customization.
DEACTIVATE_STOCKLENGTH_TABLE_UPDATE
yes, no*
yes—Disables an update of the stocklength table. This option may be used in case of display problems in the stocklength table.
no—Enables an update of the stocklength table.
DEBUG_MODE
yes, no*
yes—Prints debug information in the trail file during the assembly of connector or equipment elements.
no—Does not print debug information in the trail file during the assembly of connector or equipment elements.
DIALOG_STARTING_POSITION
Defines the start position (X Y) for most Creo Advanced Framework dialog boxes.
DO_NOT_ADD_BOM_INFO_TO_PDM_OBJECTS

yes—Does not add BOM information to Windchill objects.
no—Adds BOM information to Windchill objects.
LIBRARY_PATH
Sets the path to the Creo Advanced Framework library folder if the library was installed separately.
The default is: Common Files\afx\parts.
PUT_UDF_FEATURES_ON_LAYER

yes—Puts UDF features on layer 00_PROFIL_DATUM.
no—Does not put UDF features on layer 00_PROFIL_DATUM.
REMOVE_0_SURFACE_CUT_UDFS

yes—Removes Creo Advanced Framework created cut features if they do not have at least one solid surface.
no—Keeps Creo Advanced Framework created cut features if they do not have at least one solid surface.
