About the Fillet Weld Dimensioning Scheme
The following dimensioning schemes are available for creating fillet welds:
Dimensioning Scheme
Definition
Values on Fillet Weld Tab
Reference Collectors on Location Tab
D x D (ANSI only)
One length dimension for two identical legs
One length value
Side 1 and Side 2 collect surfaces
D1 x D2 (ANSI only)
Two different length dimensions, one for each leg.
Two length values
Side 1 and Side 2 collect surfaces
A (ISO only)
Distance from the weld surface to the trajectory (throat thickness)
One throat thickness value
Side 1 and Side 2 collect surfaces
Z (ISO only)
Maximum leg length
One length value
Side 1 and Side 2 collect surfaces
Z1 x Z2 (ISO only)
Two different length dimensions, one for each leg.
Two length values
Side 1 and Side 2 collect surfaces
Angle of the projection of the side 1 chain to the side 2 surface
One angle value
Side 1 collects chains, Side 2 collects surfaces, and for solid weld representation, Side 1 Weld Surfaces collects surfaces
Two chain values
Side 1 and Side 2 collect chains, and for solid weld representation, Side 1 Weld Surfaces and Side 2 Weld Surfaces collect surfaces
