About the Style User Interface
The Style tab consists of commands and shortcut menus. Click Model > Style to open the Style tab.
Commands
Operations
Regenerate All—Regenerates geometry within Style. Only the entities contained in the Style feature are regenerated, and not the entire Creo model.
Delete—Deletes selected Style curves, surfaces, internal datum planes, or trimmed quilt pieces.
Unlink—Breaks the associativity between Style entities and any of their optional references. Optional references for surfaces include internal curves and connections. Optional references for curves include soft points. Optional references for surface edits include align. Drop curves do not have optional references.
Style > Operations > Edit Definition—Redefines Style geometry. Opens the appropriate tab where you can edit entities such as curves or surfaces.
Style > Operations > Repeat—Repeats the last Style tool (command) that you used.
Style > Operations > Resolve—Resolves a Style feature that has failed regeneration. Opens the Resolve dialog box.
Style > Operations > Snap—Enables or disables snapping. By default it is disabled. You can also enable snap by holding down the SHIFT key when you select a point.
Style > Operations > Preferences—Opens the Style Preferences dialog box where you set preferences for surface connections, grid display and spacing, regeneration, and surface mesh.
Style > Operations > Entity Information—Displays information about the selected Style entities in an information window.
Style > Operations > Feature Information—Displays information about the current Style feature in an information window.
Style > Operations > Suppress—Temporarily removes an entity from the model, both physically and visually, until you resume the entity.
Style > Operations > Resume—Returns a suppressed entity to the model.
Style > Operations > Resume All—Returns all suppressed entities to the model.
Plane
Style > Set Active Plane > Set Active Plane—Selects which datum plane is active for creating and editing geometry.
Style > Set Active Plane > Internal Plane—Opens the Datum Plane dialog box where you create datum planes internal to the Style feature.
Curve
Curve
Style > Curve > Curve—Opens the Curve tab where you create Style curves using interpolation or control points.
Style > Curve > Arc—Opens the Arc tab.
Style > Curve > Circle—Opens the Circle tab.
Curve Edit—Opens the Curve Edit tab where you edit single or multiple curves by dragging points or tangents.
Drop Curve—Opens the Drop Curve tab where you create a Curve on Surface (COS) by dropping a curve onto a surface, datum plane, intent surface, quilt, or body.
COS by Intersect—Opens the COS by Intersect tab where you create a COS by intersecting one or more surfaces, bodies, or quilts, with one or more surfaces, intent surfaces, datum planes, bodies, or quilts.
Style > Offset Curve—Opens the Offset Curve tab where you offset curves.
Style > Curve from Surface—Opens the Curve from Surface tab where you create a free or COS curve from an isoparametric line of a surface.
Style > Move—Opens the Move tab where you reposition selected Style curves.
Move only applies to planar and free curves, and does not apply to COSs.
Style > Curve > Curve from Datum—Opens the Curve from Datum tab where you convert curves or edges created outside Style to Style free curves.
Style > Curve > Mirror—Mirrors a curve or curves, across a datum plane that is used as a mirror plane, to create a Mirror feature that is dependent on the original curves.
Style > Curve > Copy—Opens the Copy tab where you duplicate the selected Style curves and position them. Soft points are preserved during a copy.
Copy functionality only applies to planar and free curves, and does not apply to COSs.
Style > Curve > Copy Proportional—Opens the Copy Proportional tab where you duplicate the selected Style curves. The original proportions are retained when the endpoints of the first curve in the selected geometry are moved to new positions during duplication.
Style > Curve > Convert—Converts planar, COS, or dropped curves to a different curve type.
Surface
Surface—Opens the Surface tab where you create surfaces from two or more curves, or three- or four-boundary surfaces from boundary and internal curves.
Surface Edit—Opens the Surface Edit tab where you modify surface shape by editing control points and knots.
Surface Connect—Opens the Surface Connection tab where you change connections between surfaces.
Surface Trim—Opens the Surface Trim tab where you trim surfaces and quilts using a set of curves.
Analysis
Curvature—Opens the Curvature analysis dialog box. Evaluates and displays the curvature of curves, edges, or surfaces. Mathematically, the curvature is equal to 1/radius.
Reflection—Opens the Reflection analysis dialog box. Displays curves that represent the reflection due to linear sources of light on a surface when viewed from the specified direction.
Knots—Opens the Knots analysis dialog box.
Connection—Opens the Connection Analysis dialog box.
Draft—Opens the Draft analysis dialog box. Analyzes a part design to determine if a draft is necessary for the part to be used in a mold. Displays a color plot of the draft.
Shaded Curvature—Opens the Shaded Curvature analysis dialog box. Evaluates and displays the smallest and largest normal curvature values for every point on a surface.
Slope—Opens the Slope analysis dialog box. Displays, in color, the slope of a surface relative to a reference plane, coordinate system, curve, edge, or datum axis on a part.
Offset Analysis—Opens the Offset analysis dialog box. Evaluates and displays an offset for a selected set of curves, edges, or surfaces.
Saved Analysis—Opens the Saved Analysis dialog box.
Hide All—Hides all saved analyses.
Style > Analysis > Sections—Opens the Sections analysis dialog box. Evaluates surface continuity, especially across shared boundaries. Allows you to highlight section curves on the surface or display cross sections parallel to the selected reference plane.
Style > Analysis > Delete All Sections—Deletes all saved sections analyses.
Style > Analysis > Delete All Curvature—Deletes all saved curvature analyses.
Style > Analysis > Delete All Knots—Deletes all saved knots analyses.
