Fixed Constraint—Creo Ansys Simulation
A fixed constraint prevents a selected portion of the model geometry from moving or deforming, that is it removes all degrees of freedom from the selected references.
To Define a Fixed Constraint
1. Within a structural or modal simulation study, click Ansys Simulation > Fixed. The Fixed Constraint dialog box opens.
2. Specify a Name for the constraint or accept the default name. Optionally, click the color swatch adjacent to the Name box to change the color of the icon, the distribution, and the text displayed for the constraint.
3. Select one or more component, body, surface, edge, curve, or vertex of the model to constrain. Press the CTRL key to select multiple references. Your selections appear in the References collector.
*
When you select multiple references they must all be of the same type—for example you cannot select one edge and one surface as references for a single displacement constraint.
4. Click OK to create the constraint and save it.
