About the Bend Back User Interface
The Bend Back user interface consists of tabs, commands, and shortcut menus. Click > to access the Bend Back tool.
Commands
• Bent Geometry selection buttons:
◦ Automatic—Automatically selects all unbent geometry references.
◦ Manual—Manually selects individual unbent geometry references.
• Fixed Geometry reference collector—Displays a planar surface or edge reference that remains fixed during the bend back operation.
• —When a nontangent edge is selected, flips the side of the edge that remains fixed during a bend back operation.
| The part-level fixed geometry reference is used as the default feature reference. |
Tabs
• References
Use the References tab to add and remove unbent and fixed geometry references.
◦ Unbent geometry—Displays manually selected unbent surface or edge references in the collector.
◦ Fixed geometry—Displays the planar surface or edge reference that remains fixed during a bend back operation.
◦ Flip—When a nontangent edge is selected, flips the side of the edge that remains fixed during a bend back operation.
• Bend Control
Use the Bend Control tab to set which contours that partially intersect a bend line to remain flat during a bend back operation.
◦ Bend Contour References list—Displays all the automatically detected contours that are partially intersected by a bend line.
◦ Bend contour—Bends back the selected contour reference.
