To Render in Real Time
1. Click Render Studio > Real-Time > Real-Time Settings. The Real-Time Rendering Settings dialog box opens.
2. Optionally, make modifications as described below:
Lighting Presets:—Select from Custom, Performance Mode, Basic, Product, Interior, or Full Simulation. The lighting preset has predefined values for shadows. illumination, and light bounces. The default is Basic.
Ray Bounces:—Move the slider or type the number of light reflections in the box. The light rays are bounced off from different surfaces as many times as specified. More bounces illuminate darker areas in the scene.
Indirect Bounces:—Move the slider or type the number of indirect light reflections in the box. the higher the number, the more colors that are bounced off or reflected from different objects. You can use this setting along with the Global Illumination or Interior Mode to produce unique effects.
Shadow Quality:—Move the slider or type a value up to four decimal places in the box. A higher the number, results in better shadow quality that is cast on the ground. As you increase the value above 1.0000, the irregular or inconsistent edges of the shadows become consistent and sharp.
Self Shadows—Display the shadows of the object that are cast on the same object.
Global Illumination—Illuminate the surroundings. The colors of objects are cast on other objects in the vicinity. More indirect bounces result into more global illumination.
Ground Illumination—Illuminate the ground with the colors of the objects. As the colors of the objects are cast on the ground, the shadows of the objects are overcast and look dull.
Caustics—View the effect of caustics on the objects or ground. The better effect is seen on glass-like or metallic materials. The light reflection or refraction through the objects produces realistic caustic effects.
Interior Mode—Enable interior lighting. When the check box is selected, the model is exposed to the natural light. If you select the Global Illumination, the darker areas are illuminated. You can also increase the Ray Bounces: and throw more light on the model.
Number of cores—Select a number of CPU cores to be used for rendering. The default is set to 75% - 6 cores.
3. Click OK to save the settings for the current session. When you save your file to a rendered image, these settings are used.
On the Render Studio tab, click Pause Renderer to pause the real-time rendering. By pausing the real-time raytracing, you can reduce the CPU usage and continue working on other applications.
You can resume the real-time rendering by clicking Pause Renderer again. Orienting the model or performing operations such as changing scenes or appearances cancels pausing and stops the real-time rendering.

When you render a model in real time, the Transparency Control set on the View tab or in-graphics toolbar does not work.
