Configuration Options for Manikin
file_dialog_units_class
mks*, ips
Sets the units of measure for the manikin attributes displayed in the Open dialog box.
mks—Sets the units to centimeters.
ips—Sets the units to inches.
keep_manikin_placement_enabled
yes, no*
Sets the default state of the placement connection when a manikin is inserted into a scene. The placement connection state is set in the Enable placement connection check box in the Place Manikin dialog box.
yes—Enables the placement connection by default.
no—Disables the placement connection by default during kinematic operations (dragging, Reach, Look At).
manikin_dim_drag_lock
yes*, no
Defines the behavior during planar movement (plane of the 3D dragger is selected), and then a value is entered in one of the dimension boxes for translation along an axis.
yes—Locks the value of the second (orthogonal) dimension box, preventing translation along the second axis.
no—Allows movement in the orthogonal direction during planar movement.
manikin_drag_auto_locks
yes*, no
Automatically applies a natural and realistic behavior to the manikin as you drag it. The behavior is determined by a series of constraints that are applied to specific areas such as the spine or the hip. Although the hip is fixed, it automatically unfixes when selected, and will fix itself again if you try to move another segment.
manikin_flexibility

Sets the level of manikin flexibility during dragging.
full—All manikin segments are free.
none—All manikin segments are locked.
partial—Hand DOFs (degrees of freedom) are locked.
manikin_replace_keep_posture

Controls whether a manikin’s existing posture is applied to a replacement manikin.
ptc_manikin_comforts_path

Sets the default directory for the Creo Manikin comfort angles. The change takes effect when you restart Creo.
ptc_manikin_library_path
<full directory path>
Sets the default directory for the Creo Manikin libraries or for your custom posture libraries. Custom libraries must contain the correct index menu files.
 | Make sure that the name of the last directory in the ptc_manikin_library_path is ptc_manikin_lib, otherwise automatic retrieval will fail. |

Sets the default directory for the Creo Manikin postures or for custom posture libraries.
skip_small_surface
yes*, no
Sets the display of small shaded surfaces.
yes—Does not display small surfaces, increasing the speed of display.
no—Displays small surfaces, decreasing the speed of display but increasing its quality.
