Orientation Plane Indicator is Required
The specified geometrical tolerance requires an orientation plane. According to ISO 1101:2017, an orientation plane shall be indicated when:
The tolerance feature is a median line or a median point, and the width of the tolerance zone is limited by two parallel planes, or
The tolerance feature is a median point, and the tolerance zone is limited by a cylinder, and
The tolerance zone is oriented from another feature, established from an extracted feature of the workpiece, identifying the orientation of the tolerance zone.
Use Creo functionality to specify an orientation plane for the geometrical tolerance. However, GD&T Advisor does not evaluate the correctness nor the effect of the specified intersection plane.
