Working with Classic Stock Models
If you have classic or legacy stock models from earlier releases, you can edit them. The classic stock models are listed in the Model Tree. However, they are not listed in the footer of the Model Tree. The classic stock models are denoted by the glyph. For example, a shown classic stock model is denoted by in the Model Tree. By default, you cannot create a classic stock model. Certain options are slightly different for classic stock models when you edit them.
To edit a classic stock model:
1. Click the required classic stock model corresponding to a sequence or operation in the Model Tree. A mini toolbar appears.
2. Select Edit Definition on the mini toolbar.
The Stock_Model tab opens.
3. Edit the following options on the Reference tab, if required:
Reference steps—Change the required sequences.
Previous Stock or Boundary—Edit constraints to calculate the stock model. The constraints can be one of the following types:
Workpiece
Mill Window
Previously defined stock model

Selection of reference steps and previous stock or boundary options are also available on the shortcut menu in the graphics window.
4. On the Options tab, edit the resolution of the stock model. This controls the accuracy to which the stock model is created. The resolution must be from 1 to 1000 units. The default value is 1 mm or 0.01 inches.
Click Save As to save the model as a .STL or .PRT file.
5. On the Properties tab, edit the name for the stock model, if required. The Name box shows the default name.
6. Click Force Compute to force Creo NC to compute the stock model at the current time.
7. Click to preview the stock model in the graphics window.
8. Select one of the following options depending on your requirement:
Click to save the changes. The stock model is created and listed in the footer of the Model Tree.
Click to pause the process of creating the stock model and create a required feature asynchronously.
Click to cancel the changes.
You can also show or hide the classic stock model, per your requirements. To show a classic stock model, click the required stock model in the Model Tree and select Show on the mini toolbar. To hide a shown classic stock model, right-click the required stock model in the Model Tree and select Hide.
