To Specify Synch Points
When you use synch points to adjust tool paths, the tools on each head will position at that point on the tool path at the same time.
1. In the Synchronize dialog box, select sequences on two or more heads.
2. Click Point on Toolpath. The Edit Synchronization dialog box opens.
3. The dialog box displays head columns for tool paths that you have selected. For example, if you have selected steps on Head 1, and Head 4, only Head 1 and Head 4 columns are displayed.
Carry out the following steps to define a synch point:
◦ Location—Select Point on Toolpath from the drop-down list.
◦ NC Step—Click in the collector and select synch points on tool paths in the graphics window. The name of the step appears in the collector. Do this on all tool paths for all displayed Head columns.
The tool paths on each head are displayed in different colors. The color corresponding to each head is as follows:
▪ Tool Path on Head 1—Dark Magenta
▪ Tool Path on Head 2—Dark Cyan
▪ Tool Path on Head 3—Blue
▪ Tool Path on Head 4—Orange
◦ To change the location of an existing synch point, select a synch point, then select a new location for it on the appropriate tool path.
◦ To remove a synch point, right-click the NC Step collector and select Remove from the shortcut menu.
◦ Spindle ID—Displays which head is operating on what spindle. The following spindle IDs are displayed depending on the spindle used to create the step:
▪ Main Spindle—When the main spindle is used to create the step.
▪ Sub Spindle—When the sub spindle is used to create the step.
▪ Main and Sub Spindle—When you select tool paths with a common head, where some are on the main spindle and others on the sub spindle.
4. Click Apply.
When you close the dialog box, the Synchronize dialog box is updated to display the created synch points for the selected heads.
