Using Manufacturing Model Templates
When you create a new manufacturing model, you can start with a specific template, which may already contain manufacturing components or features that you reuse in your processes. Creo NC provides several system-defined templates, both in standard and metric units. You can also define your own templates, which may include any of the following:
Workpiece
Reference model, in which case the system issues a warning that a reference model is already present in the template
Fixtures
Workcells
Operations
Tools
PPRINT Table
Site files
NC sequences
Associated drawings
Place your templates in a directory that is specified as the value of any of the following configuration options:
start_model_dir
mfg_start_model_dir
If you specify different directories for these configuration options, Creo NC uses the directory specified as the value of the mfg_start_model_dir option. All the manufacturing models in this directory are available for selection as manufacturing model templates. Use the template_mfgnc configuration option to specify the name of the default template.
