2. Create a cross section using the Section tool on the View tab. The surface of the cross section is displayed by default in the model color. Use the color button to color the cross section and button to apply hatch pattern to the cross section. To revert the color of the surface of the cross section to the model color, click Use Model Color on the color palette.

3. On the Section tab, click to switch between previewing a shaded sectioned model as a solid or as surfaces.
