About Creating Copies of Existing *.dat Files

Open model or *.dat file and select a existing *.dat file from the components section. This can be an existing library component or a regular component like e.g. cooling, ejector etc.

Change the name of the component in the input panel Part Name. In case the part name is modified the component data will be written to a new *.dat file.
4. In the Component Editor dialog box, you can modify the new *.dat file.
