Error Messages
You must resolve any errors, and then restart the flattening process. The next table shows explanations of the error messages with their resolutions:

Startup check could not be completed. Exiting.
The startup check could not be completed for the following reasons:
An error occurred setting the search path of the configuration option file.
An error occurred attempting to determine if an active window is open.
Ensure the search path is not located in the .sup file. If the problem persists, contact PTC Technical Support.
Components could not be included in the HMX drawing. Check message log for details.
The components were not included in the HMX drawing because of the following reasons:
A wire, cable, or bundle has not been terminated on the entry port.
The logical information does not reference the connector entry ports correctly.
The component is assembled to the harness on a network location.
The component coordinate system name cannot be extracted from the location point reference. The reference designators of components that were not included in the HMX drawing are written to the message log.
Do the following and re-run HMX:
Ensure the wire, cable, or bundle ends are terminated correctly on the components.
Ensure that the logical information for entry ports of each pin on a connector is correct for the assembly.
Change assignment of the location point to a wire, cable, or bundle location point.
Ensure the coordinate system reference is available for the location point through the reference viewer.
Multiple topographies detected. Exiting
The harness part contains multiple topographies. The routing in the harness must be continuous.
Do one of the following:
Re-route the wires to generate one contiguous wire harness.
Delete all but one of the topographies.
Some components could not be placed correctly in the harness manufacturing drawing. Check HMX Debug Panel for details.
Some components could not be placed correctly in the harness manufacturing drawing. The IDs of the components are displayed on the HMX Debug Panel.
Review the geometry placement rules and ensure they have been applied correctly.
Cannot save drawing. Please ensure drawing templates are saved on the sheet containing the sketch assembly (2D View), and that the Active Model is set to the sketch assembly.
You attempted to save the HMX generated drawing on a sheet which does not contain the 2D View. This drawing is unsupported as a template, and so you cannot save it.
Activate the sheet in the drawing containing the 2D View and save the drawing.
Cannot export the DXF file. Check that the configuration option enable_shaded_view_in_drawings is set to yes.
DXF file cannot be exported when the configuration option enable_shaded_view_in_drawings is set to yes, as this option causes the connectors in the HMX drawing to be invisible.
Set the configuration option enable_shaded_view_in_drawings to no.
Unable to resolve axial closed loop. Exiting.
Axial closed loops that start or end on a connector are not supported.
Insert locations on the closed loop before or after the reported connector.
Invalid characters detected in HMX assembly name. Exiting.
Unsupported characters have been detected in the custom file names.
Remove unsupported characters in custom file names.
HMX sketch assembly name exceeds the maximum length of 32 characters. Exiting.
The sketch assembly name supports a maximum of 32 characters.
Edit the sketch file name to reduce its length.
Sketch assembly name cannot match sketch assembly name from loaded template. Please select a unique name.
The sketch assembly name is the same as the previous drawing.
Set the new sketch name in the Sketch filename textbox to a new name. The sketch assembly can be renamed after the new drawing has been created.
Drawing template is invalid. Please ensure drawing template has been saved, erased from session and reopened.
HMX requires drawings to be opened from a file before using them as a template.
Save the drawing, close the drawing, and erase the drawing from session. Then open the drawing from file and close it. Start HMX.
Cannot create the drawing. Check that the configuration option variant_drawing_item_sizes is set to no.
HMX drawings cannot be created when the Creo Parametric configuration option variant_drawing_item_sizes is set to yes.
Set the configuration option variant_drawing_item_sizes to no.
