About Using Analysis Tools for ECAD Context Data
You can use commands on the Analysis tab to perform a quick analysis for ECAD context data. An analysis on ECAD context data geometry cannot be saved. Set the Selection filter to ECAD Context Data Geometry to facilitate data selection.
The following Analysis tools are available for ECAD context data geometry:
Measure—Calculates the following measurements:
Length of the data
Distance between data
Area of an ECAD context data quilt
Diameter of the data
Angle between two data entities
Global Interference—Checks for interference between can be performed on ECAD context data quilts belonging to different ECAD models in an assembly. Interference between these quilts on the same board is not detected. To include ECAD context data quilts in the analysis, click the Include conductor quilts check box in the Global Interference dialog box.
Pairs Clearance—Checks for clearance between ECAD context data quilts belonging to different ECAD models in the assembly. To check for clearance between quilt pairs, click the All conductor quilts check box in the Pairs Clearance dialog box for the From and To components.
