CABLE OR WIRE PARAMETER
DESCRIPTION
FROM_CABLE_REPORT_NAME
The name of the drawing report table that gives details of the start locations of the cables and wires. The information provided in the drawing report table overrides the cable and wire spool parameters and Drawing setup options.
Format: FROM_CABLE_REPORT_NAME text_string
Example: FROM_CABLE_REPORT_NAME run_from_conductor
FROM_TO_CABLE_REPORT_NAME
The name of the drawing report table that gives details of the start and end locations of the cables and wires. The information provided in the drawing report table overrides the cable and wire spool parameters and Drawing setup options.
Format: FROM_TO_CABLE_REPORT_NAME text_string
Example: FROM_TO_CABLE_REPORT_NAME run_from_to_conductor
MAX_ALLOWED_LENGTH
Defines the maximum permitted length, for example, to avoid signal degradation.
Format: MAX_ALLOWED_LENGTH value
Example: MAX_ALLOWED_LENGTH 60
MIN_ALLOWED_DIST
The minimum permitted distance between parallel conductors that avoids interference.
Format: MIN_ALLOWED_DIST value
Example: MIN_ALLOWED_DIST 2
NAME
The name specified when you create the cable. You can edit this parameter to change the cable name.
Format: NAME text_string
Example: NAME cabl
NETWIRE
The name of the net of wires that is used as a logical reference. The value of this parameter shows up for all the wires that are routed using this net.
SPOOL
The name of the spool that the cable or wire references. You can edit this parameter to modify the spool name. This is a required parameter.
Format: SPOOL text string
Example: SPOOL spll8red
TARGET_LENGTH
Sets the required length for the cable after routing is complete. Use this parameter when a cable is purchased in specific lengths or when the cable is designed to be a certain length, such as cables for radio antenna leads.
Format: TARGET_LENGTH value
Example: TARGET_LENGTH 24
TO_CABLE_REPORT_NAME
The name of the drawing report table that gives details of the end locations of the cables and wires. The information provided in the drawing report table overrides the cable and wire spool parameters and Drawing setup options.
Format: TO_CABLE_REPORT_NAME text_string
Example: TO_CABLE_REPORT_NAME run_to_conductor
USER_DEFINED
Any user-defined parameter can be added with this format.
Format: Parameter_name value
Example: VENDOR kga_electric_supply
