To Update Feature Name with Reference Designator
1. In a Cabling assembly, click Auto Designate.
2. Select one or more designated components and then click Propagate to Feature Name. The Propagate to Feature Name dialog box opens.
3. Define the required feature name format. Use the <REF_DES> expression to propagate a component’s reference designation to the feature name. Optionally, you can add <REF_DES> expression as suffix or a prefix as regular text.
For example, when the reference designation of a component is CN-09 and you use the <REF_DES> expression in the Feature Name field, the feature name is updated to CN-09.
4. Click OK. The feature name is updated to the <REF_DES> format.

When you propagate an empty value in the feature name field then all the feature names are removed.
