About Displaying a Drawing View Using Fast HLR
Using the fast hidden line removal (HLR) display setting, you can reduce the time required to generate a HLR display of a drawing view. However, displaying a drawing view with the fast HLR display setting can result in poor quality of edge display. Additionally, the drawing view may not display all the view settings that are applied to the view.
Click View > Fast HLR for Drawing to set fast HLR display of drawing views. Alternatively, you can set the configuration option fasthlr_drawing, to specify the default mode of HLR display for drawing views.
*
In some circumstances, where the model has large number of complex edges, it can take longer to display a drawing view with fast HLR than the one with the system computed HLR. Drawing views that are rendered with the fast HLR setting, can be of significantly poor quality as compared to the one with the system computed HLR.
For example, with the system computed HLR display, in the Drawing View dialog box, if you specify the value of the drawing view display setting Colors come from to The drawing, the edges are rendered with the geometry color. However, with fast HLR display setting, edges are rendered with the model color.
To ensure accuracy of the output, the system ignores the fast HLR display setting when you preview, export or print the drawing.
