Opening Outdated non-Creo Models without a Collaboration License
Opening the non-Creo parts and assemblies without the appropriate collaboration license creates models that cannot be updated by Creo. Those models are treated as missing components. If you do not want those out-of-date non-Creo models to open, you must set the intf3d_open_outofdate_unite configuration option to no. Alternatively, you can set the configure option to no_with_warning, in which case a notification message will appear when you try to open out-of-date non-Creo models without the appropriate collaboration license.
Here is the expected behavior for retrieving different types of top level models for different settings of the of the intf3d_open_outofdate_unite configuration option:
Configuration option setting
Top-level model is out of date

The model is opened as out-of-date.
The model is opened and updated, the out-of-date component is opened as out-of-date.
