Support for Microsoft Edge as an Embedded Browser
Creo+
Description
Microsoft Edge is officially supported as the Creo embedded browser for versions 13.4.0.0, 12.4.3.0, 11.0.8.0, and 10.0.10.0. Users will be able to control the embedded browser through the configurtion option windows_browser_type in Creo and the Windchill Workgroup Manager. The default value of this option is chromium_browser and the value can be set to edge_browser to use the Microsoft Edge browser as the embedded browser. When the embedded browser is to set to Edge, Creo and the Windchill Workgroup Manager leverage the standard Edge browser installed on the local computer. Microsoft releases regular security patches and automatically updates the local Edge browser to address known or discovered vulnerabilities. This enables the highest security protection for the embedded browser in Creo.
