Description
With a bearing load, force is applied as a pin/hole connection. The load distribution is automatically applied over half of the cylinder in the direction specified. (parabolic function). Bearing loads are only supported on full cylinders.
Bearing loads can be defined in terms of magnitude and direction, or direction components only.
Only radial load components are allowed—Axial components are not supported. If axial components of the load are required you can define them as a separate force load.
Bearing loads can be applied to shared references and the results are additive.
Benefits
This enhancement provides the following benefits:
You can simulate pin/hole connection loads.
The resulting load is closer to the real-world physical situation than a simple force load.
