Description
You can now export parts and assemblies to Universal Scene Description (USD) format.
This enhancement enables seamless exchange of Creo data with NVIDIA Omniverse and other USD viewers that follow the OpenUSD standard. PTC is an active member of the OpenUSD consortium and contributes to the direction and capabilities of the standard.
The initial support for USD export is limited to geometry only and it does not include appearances defined in Creo. You can apply appearances in NVIDIA Omniverse or other compatible USD viewers.
PTC plans to expand USD export capabilities in future releases to include additional content, such as appearance definitions, simulation data, and kinematic constraints.
Benefits
This enhancement supports PTC’s commitment to NVIDIA and OpenUSD standard consortium. It improves the exchange of Creo data with downstream visualization environment, such as NVIDIA Omniverse.
