The following enhancements are available for results:
• Vectors and direction field are now available for structural, thermal, modal, and fluid result types. The following figure shows a vector display for Von Mises stress results in a structure study. Displacement vectors are superimposed on the Von Mises stress result.
The following figure shows the direction field display of temperature results in a fluid study.
• Streamlines and particles are available for all result quantities in fluid studies where earlier they were only available for velocity. The following figure shows particle display for pressure results for a fluid study. The particle display represents the velocity of the particles, superimposed on the pressure results.
• Animation and other options are available for all result quantities in fluid studies. Count, size and other particle options are available.
• Results can be plotted individually or in combination with other results—This means you can view particles, streamlines, and direction field together for a result quantity.
Benefits
This enhancement provides the following benefits:
• Post processing benefits for users
• Enhanced results provide clearer results. The following are some examples of the enhanced results:
◦ Temperature can be displayed as vectors
◦ Pressure can be displayed as particles
◦ Stresses can be displayed with direction field
