Real-Time Collaboration now supports branch-specific locking in a collaboration session.
Previously, editing a part or sub-assembly on a specific branch would lock that model across all branches. With this enhancement locks are now specific to each branch. If a model is locked on one branch, it will not affect collaborators working on a different branch in a collaboration session. This improvement acknowledges that branches can be used for exploring designs without necessarily intending to merge them back into the main branch.
Additionally, it is now possible to evaluate potential merge conflicts between any two branches and turn off conflict evaluation if desired.
Benefits
• This enhancement makes concurrent design across branches easier and prevents any interruptions caused by simultaneous work on the same design in different branches.
• Improves awareness of potential conflicts before merging designs.
