To Create a Joint Members Feature using the Joint Members Tool
Use the Joint Members tool to create Joint Members features in smaller, simpler models, and when you are not planning downstream activities like automation of weld and joint creation. The Joint Members tool is only available in assemblies.
1. Click > 
Joint Members. The Joint Members tab opens.
Joint Members. The Joint Members tab opens.2. Select the first part to add to the Joint Members feature.
3. Optionally, click the References tab to see the list of selected parts in the Components to join collector.
4. Hold down the CTRL key while you select more parts to add to the Joint Members feature.
5. Optionally, to help identify the Joint Members feature, click the Properties tab, and enter a meaningful name and description.
6. Click 
OK.
