To Shape a Surface using Reparameterization Curves
1. Open the Surface tab for the surface you want to parameterize.
2. Click Reparameterization. Reparameterization mode is activated.
3. Add one or more reparameterization curves:
Add one reparameterization curve
a. Move the pointer over the surface, a boundary curve, or an internal curve, to the approximate location where you want to add a reparameterization curve.
b. Right-click and choose Add U reparam curve or Add V reparam curve from the shortcut menu. A reparameterization curve is created.
c. Drag a reparameterization curve or one of its soft points along the boundary curve until the surface is parameterized as desired.
Add multiple reparameterization curves
Do any of these actions:
To add reparameterization curves in the U-direction that connect each piece in one boundary to the corresponding piece in the opposite boundary, right-click a surface and select Add piece to piece U reparam curve.
To add reparameterization curves in the V-direction that connect each piece in one boundary to the corresponding piece in the opposite boundary, right-click a surface and select Add piece to piece V reparam curve.
To create reparameterization curves that connect all the pieces of the selected boundary with the corresponding pieces in the opposite boundary, right-click a boundary and select Add piece to piece reparam curves.
4. Click Reparameterization to exit Reparameterization mode.
5. Click OK.
