Limitations of Fully Dependent Mirror in Sheetmetal Design
The list below contains limitations that are applicable when you mirror sheet metal parts using the option Fully dependent with options to vary.
You cannot change the body reference for a fully dependent first wall or unattached wall.
Features referencing sheet metal side surfaces may have unexpected results.
Forms based on Merge or Inheritance features are not supported.
Fully dependent mirror has different behaviors when the sketched section is a 2D profile or a parametric 3D sketch.
2D profile—Attachment edges are searched for automatically when the wall is built on a single straight edge.
3D Parametric sketch—Attachment edges in the mirrored location need to be selected manually. The wall length might then adjust according to the new reference.
*
Changing the wall sketch type from 2D to 3D will cause the fully dependent child regeneration to fail.
