About Customizing the Layout of the Window
The Window Settings tab in the Creo+ Options dialog box ( > ) allows you to change the settings of the navigation window, Model Tree, Creo+ browser, accessory window, and the graphics toolbar. You can export the window settings to a .ui file using the > . You can later import these settings for use in another session using > .
The following options are available in the Window Settings tab.
Navigation tab settings
Show History tab—Select to add the history tab (

) to the navigation window. By default, the history tab is not visible in the navigator. The history tab provides a record of Web locations you have visited in the
Creo+ browser.
Show Favorites tab—Select to add the favorites tab (

) to the navigation window. By default, the favorites tab is not visible in the navigator. Once added, it displays all the links marked as favorites, providing quick and easy access to them.
Navigation tabs placement—Allows you to change the placement of the navigation window. By default the navigation window is located to the left of the graphics window.
Navigation window width as a percentage of main window—Allows you to adjust the width of the navigator window. The default width is 10% of the width of the main window.
Navigation Tree settings
Show navigation tree lines—Select to show the tree lines in the navigation trees.
Dim the text label for hidden objects—Controls the appearance of hidden objects in the model tree. When selected, the text labels and icons of a navigation tree node are dimmed if the object is hidden. When not selected, the node icon is dimmed, but the text label is not dimmed.
Preserve tree states—Select to preserve the changes made to the navigation trees when switching between Creo+ sessions.
Preserve position of undocked trees—Allows you to preserve your selection for the position of undocked trees.
Reset Trees Layout—Restores the size and position of the navigation trees to default settings.
Browser settings
Set Browser width as a percentage of main window to be—Allows you to change the width of the Creo+ browser as a percentage of the Creo+ window.
Use animation when opening or closing the browser—Select the check box to enable animation when opening and closing the browser.
Expand the browser during startup—Select the check box to expand the browser during startup.
Pages visited—Click Clear History to clear the history of pages visited.
Accessory window settings
Accessory window size—Allows you to choose the size of the accessory window.
Graphics Toolbar Settings
Main Window- Graphics Toolbar location—Allows you to change the location of the Graphics toolbar in the Creo+ main window.
Accessory Window- Graphics Toolbar location—Allows you to change the location of the Graphics toolbar in the accessory window.
Highlight New Functionality
Enable highlighting of new functionality—Select the check box to enable highlighting of new functionality in the Creo+ user interface.
Show highlights starting from Creo—Select a version of Creo+ from which you want to highlight the functionality.
General Settings
Suppressed dialog boxes—Click Resume Display of Dialog Boxes to show dialog boxes that are suppressed. Dialog boxes are suppressed when you select a check box that has a message of the type “In future do not show this message”.
Dashboard panels—Click Reset Panels to restore the slide-up panels to the default setting.
• Automatically open important panels—This checkbox is selected by default. When selected, by default the important slide-up panels are open and attached, based on the tools you select. If you clear the checkbox, the important slide-up panels are not open by default. The settings of this option are saved in the *ui file
