To Insert a Note without a Leader
1. On the Annotate tab, click the arrow next to Note and then choose a creation method:
Click Unattached Note and select a point in the graphics window.
Click Offset Note and select an existing note to use as an offset reference.
Click On Item Note and select an entity to use as a reference.
The Format tab opens.
2. Type the text. To change any of the text properties, use the Format tab commands.
3. To break any hatching that overlaps text, in the Style group, click . The Text Style dialog box opens. Click the Break hatching check box, set the value for the margins, and click OK.
4. To exit the Format tab, middle-click and select anywhere on the graphics window.
