Load a library part
Creo Elements/Direct Part Library provides hundreds of standard DIN, DIN-EN, ANSI, and JIS parts.
To load a standard part,
1. Click
Part Library and then, in the
Catalog group, click the arrow next to
Load.
2. You can select from one of the following load types:
◦
Part/Assy: Loads a standard part from the catalog.
◦
Last: Loads the last used part from the catalog.
◦
Linear Part/Assy: Loads multiple parts in a linear pattern.
◦
Radial Part/Assy: Loads multiple parts in a radial pattern.
3. In the Standard Parts dialog box, select the category, and then the part you want to load.
4. To load a specific part, type the part name or the part number in the Search box and click Search. Click Recursive to search the part from all the categories.
| You can set certain parts as your personal favorites using Add To Favorites in the Standard Parts Browser. Click  to get a list of your personal favorites and quickly load a part from there. |
5. Select the size you want from the part table, then click SelectPart. The Part Position dialog box appears.
| Modification of a row in a parametric part table will not modify the part. |
6. Position the part in the viewport or select the following options:
◦ Edge: Select an edge to use as a reference for positioning.
◦ Reverse: Flip the part so its positioned is mirrored.
◦ Positioning Bore/Cone: You can use this option to position a chamfered part.
◦ Position in Plane: Select a face or workplane and a position point in the viewport.
◦ Rotate axis: Select 30, 45, or 180 degrees.
◦ Move axis: Move the part along its axis by the amount you type.
◦ Mounting situations: Switch to the next mounting coordinate system, if defined. To define a mounting coordinate system, see

◦ General Positioning: Move the part in the viewport using the 3D CoPilot.
◦ Position: Use the standard Creo Elements/Direct Modeling position options.
7. If you selected a linear or radial pattern, you must also set the pattern properties:
◦ Direction (linear): Select a direction in the viewport.
◦ Distance (linear): Type the distance between parts.
◦ Axis (radial): Select the axis for the pattern in the viewport.
◦ Angle (radial): Type the angle between parts.
◦ Number (both types): Type the number of parts you want in your pattern.
8. Click
OK 
to complete the operation.
