Freeze part
This is to disconnect parts, so that the Creo Elements/Direct Mold Base does not take them into account.
Click Mold Base and then, in the Tools group, click 
Freeze Part. The Freeze Part dialog box opens.

Freeze: Mark to disconnect or unmark to connect.
