Create a new drawing by transferring docuplanes
Docuplanes are display planes used in 3D modeling to position annotations. These annotations may be transferred to Creo Elements/Direct Annotation drawings, both by creating a new drawing and by transferring docuplane annotations to an existing drawing.
To create a new drawing by transferring docuplanes,
1. Click Annotations and then, in the Setup group, click New Drawing. The Create Drawing dialog box opens.
2. Select 3D Process from the Mode cascade list.
3. If necessary, specify a different Owner part or assembly whose docuplanes you want to consider transferring. All the docuplanes of the specified owner become available for transfer and are displayed in the Docuplanes table.
4. If required, enter a number (or name) for the new drawing in the Number data entry field.
5. Click a frame type (or None for no frame) from the Type cascade list.
6. Docuplanes are transferred with their own scale factor, so the drawing Scale option can be ignored. This field is deactivated and displays transferred once you click 3D Process.
7. Click Add Views.
The menu expands to show the options relevant to docuplane transfer, and the Docuplanes table appears displaying all the docuplanes owned by the selected part.
8. To select the docuplanes you want to transfer from the Docuplanes table, click to display an "X" under the Transfer column. Click Apply in the table when you are finished.
9. Accept system-generated view profiles or turn view profiles off.
10. Move the cursor into the Creo Elements/Direct Annotation Viewport and click to position the views on the sheet. Click Reposition Views in the Drawing pane to move the views.
11. Use the Docuplanes table to add or remove docuplanes from the sheet.
12. Click to complete the operation.
The views are represented on the sheet by cyan boxes. To display the actual views, Update them in the Views menu.
