Creating DXF or MI files of Sheet Metal Parts
You can directly create DXF or MI files of one or more sheet metal parts in Part Library. The sheet metal parts must be created using either Creo Elements/Direct Sheet Metal or Creo Elements/Direct Basic Sheets. To do this, you can first create and examine torch cut features or flats.
User Interface Location:
Click Part Library and then click the buttons in the Torch Cut group.
Release: Creo Elements/Direct Modeling 20.3.5.0.
What is the benefit of this enhancement?
DXF or MI files of one or more sheet metal parts can be directly created in Creo Elements/Direct Modeling. You can also create and examine torch cut features or flats before creating the DXF or MI files. An example of a torch cut feature or flat and the DXF drawing file is shown below.
