Create a sink data table
Creo Elements/Direct Part Library uses DIN and various other standards to define the dimensions of a sink. For example, you can define the dimensions of a drill feature with a cylindrical sink using the standards. For more information on standards, see Creo Elements/Direct Part Library standard part settings.
Creo Elements/Direct Part Library 18.1 onward, you can create standards for the dimensions of a sink. You can also modify the pre-defined standard for the dimensions of a sink.
To create a sink data table,
1. In Creo Elements/Direct Modeling, click Part Library and then, in the Drill group, click the arrow next to More.
2. Click Create sink tab. The Create sink tab dialog box opens.
3. In the Machining box, select the machining type. You can select the machining type as Fine, Medium, or Rough.
4. In the Type box, select a sink type.
5. In the Standard box, type a name for your standard.
6. In the Standard box, in the Template section, select a data table of an existing standard. You must select a standard which is similar to your standard. Creo Elements/Direct Part Library creates a copy of the selected data table for your standard.
7. Click . The Table editor opens. You can modify values or add new values. For more information, see Change thread data tables.
8. Click to complete the operation. A data table for your standard is stored as the user data in your file system in <Creo Elements/Direct Part Library installation location>/SDUSERCUSTOMIZEDIR/PartLibrary/plib_drill. To deploy the standard to all the users, copy the data table file to <Creo Elements/Direct Part Library installation location>/SDSITECUSTOMIZEDIR/PartLibrary/plib_drill.
